AMARA

So since I've been M.I.A. in the blogging world I went back to school for Esthetics! Which for those of you who don't know is skin care (waxing, facials, etc) It didn't take me super long since I have my hair license! So now I'm currently at Amara Day Spa Salon and Boutique in Orem. It's so dang cute and I'm way excited! So if any of you need your hair done or anything waxed, feel free to come on in and see me :)

Summertime

We've been able to go to some fun concerts this summer! Tyson surprised me with tickets to American Idol, which was SO fun! I love Kris Allen :) and then we got to go to Secondhand Serenade! And George Strait!! We went with some friends that work with Tyson, we all had a good time, except Tyson never wants to hear another country song again! Haha

Tyson's been able to take some fun "boys trips" this summer. His work took him to Moab and they had a blast! Jeeping, hiking and repelling! I was jealous!

He also got to go to Seattle, play some golf and see the Red Sox play! I was super jealous about that one...

Finally a NEW Post ;)

So ObViSoUsLy I haven't posted anything in awhile! Ha. But there's definitely been plenty that's been happening! I'll start with our recent trip to Park City cause I have cute pics :)...

We went to Park City with our friends Trent and Christy for a charity event called Fallen Heros that Apx helped sponsor. It was a black tie dinner so we got to dress up super cute and have a nice dinner. Way fun and I'm glad we were able to go!

Hurricane Ike...

So I've been meaning to post this forever!

But a few weeks ago the company Tyson works for, Apx Alarm, took him and about 90 other volunteers to Texas to help out with the devastating effects from Hurricane Ike! Unfortunately they had to take buses down... no worries it just took them 30 hours on a bus to get them to Texas!! (Not to mention the 30 hour ride home... Ouch.) Then they immediately put them to work! Apx had called ahead to some of their customers to let them know they'd be in the area... They went to the city of Galveston, which had been under like 12 ft of water for weeks, they had just started letting people back into the area when they arrived to help. They helped families clear out their damaged belongings and even were able to give them some extra cash to get on their feet again! Just hearing the stories of how much these people lost and how much more work it's going to take for them to recover was just so heartbreaking! Tyson said there were boats in the middle of the freeway and debris everywhere. He said the city had the most awful smell because it was under so much water for so long, and all the sewage had been pushed up! I just can't even image how devastating that must have been/still is for those people! Tyson was so grateful he was able to be a part of such a wonderful, and humbling, service and experience!

VEGAS!!

So I kinda took forever to post this! But about two weeks ago Tyson and I went to Vegas with our good friends Savannah and BD. It was so much fun! Here are some of the good times we had...

We went and saw the show Le Reve, and it was so so amazing!! They had a water stage so there was a lot of diving and cool stuff like that! We loved it!

The boys took us go cart racing and it was so fun! My cart and BD's cart didn't go as fast as Savannah's and Tyson's... I swear it was our carts!

Tyson and BD went golfing while Savannah and I got massages. But Tyson hadn't had enough golfing for one day so I went with him for his second round of 18 holes! We had such a good time!

Tonight I went to my friend Trish's house for a little dinner to say goodbye to our friend Jill! We all used to work together and had so much fun!! Now Jill has a cute little baby and is moving to NYC with her hubby! We'll miss you Jill!! :(

Yay for weddings!

This past weekend my mom and I went to Vegas for my friend Shayla's wedding! It was so fun to go on a road trip with my mom! We had such a great time! Shayla looked gorgeous and her hubbie Cris was ADORABLE! He was so sweet and the two of them were so in love! I was so glad I was able to be there on her big day! Congrats Shayla and Cris!
